Rowena Reed Kostellow Award
In 1990, Gina unanimously became the first recipient of the Rowena Reed Kostellow Award for excellence in teaching three-dimensional design. This prestigious award honors distinguished designers, artists, educators, and entrepreneurs who embody and encourage the systematic educational approach to all forms of visual expression inspired by Rowena’s seminal teaching of over half a century -- among them, Ivan Rigby, Eva Zeisel, Gerald Gulotta, William Fogler, Eugene Grossman, Ralph Appelbaum, James Fulton, Louis Nelson, Judy Collins, Bruce Hannah, Ted Muehling, Lucia N. DeRespinis, Tom Patti, and Leonard Bacich.
Premio Internazionale Di Scultura Gioia Lazzerini
In 2005, Gina participated in the Premio Internazionale di Scultura Gioia Lazzerini in Pietrasanta, Italy, where she was awarded a prize among over 50 international entries for her bronze and ruby sculpture, Torre di San Francesco. Exhibitions of her work include a one-person show at Pratt Institute in 2012.

This esteemed and influential annual citation “honors excellence in education and education administration” by recognizing “exemplary professionals in these fields.” Recipients from across the country represent the design disciplines of architecture, industrial design, interior design, and landscape architecture, and were selected by DesignIntelligence with “extensive input from thousands of design professionals, academic department heads, and students.”
