Gina’s sculpture expresses a unified visual concept in a medium that is both ancient and modern; tactile and abstract, permanent and dynamic. Working in bronze, Gina endows her figurative forms with a rich choreography of light and shadow over its surfaces. Each casting reveals the imprint of her hand and creative process, from initial modeling to personal direction and crafting in the foundry. The patina of the bronze changes over time, enriching each narrative with an endless play of texture and fascination. The permanency of the metal speaks to the profundity of themes, in juxtaposition with the playfulness and intimacy of forms and scale
